MUONG HAM TRADITIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL Muong Ham Festival, also known as Pan Pang - Nang ny Festival, is a traditional festival of the White Thai people in the ancient Phu Quy area. Previously, due to various reasons, the festival was interrupted until 2006 to be restored. From January 5-7 (lunar calendar), the people of Muong Ham village, Chau Cuong commune, Quy Hop district gather in the courtyard in front of Pan Pang - Nang Ny cave to open the festival, opening the traditional festivals of the year in Nghe An province. Muong Ham traditional cultural festival includes many rituals, bearing religious colors such as: Tao Muong and Tao Noi gratitude ceremonies; the New Year's prayer ceremony for favorable and good weather, good crops, good health and a happy and prosperous life.  The festival took place excitingly with many cultural and sports activities imbued with both traditional and modern identities such as: tug of war, crossbow shooting, stick push, long throw, Khac Luong, gong dance, stall dancing, Thai handwriting competition, men's and women's soccer and volleyball competitions; cultural exchanges with folk songs, folk dances, campfires, visiting beautiful caves... with the participation of a large number of people in the old Phu Quy area. ... MUONG HAM TRADITIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL

 

Muong Ham Festival, also known as Pan Pang - Nang ny Festival, is a traditional festival of the White Thai people in the ancient Phu Quy area. Previously, due to various reasons, the festival was interrupted until 2006 to be restored.           The festival is an opportunity for people in the area to gather, especially the youth of the Muong people, to exchange and remember the original traditions of their nation. This is also considered a children's thanksgiving ceremony for their parents' merits and blessings, an opportunity for children and grandchildren to express their gratitude and respect to their teachers in the early spring.
