TRU VILLAGE'S BANYAN-TREE FESTIVAL Tru village's banyan-tree festival is a historical relic, preserving traditional cultural activities imbued with national identity, contributing to promoting and preserving the value of cultural heritages, and at the same time to express gratitude with the great sacrifices of their ancestors for the country's independence, education and arousing the tradition of patriotic love for the young generation.  In mid-October 1930, a conference was held Ru Am cave to establish a joint branch consisting of 02 Tho Loc and Cu Lam villages (now called Tru hamlet). Marked the birth of the first Party cell in the West of Nghe An province. Experiencing many ups and downs, culminating in the morning of 22 August 1945, under the leadership of the Party, all people of Nghia Dan district unitedly stood up to overthrow the district apparatus, breaking the chains of French colonialism. Planting a red flag with a 5-pointed yellow star on the top of Tru banyan in Vinh Lai village (now known as Nghia Khanh commune). TRU VILLAGE'S BANYAN-TREE FESTIVAL

Tru village's banyan-tree festival is a historical relic, preserving traditional cultural activities imbued with national identity, contributing to promoting and preserving the value of cultural heritages, and at the same time to express gratitude with the great sacrifices of their ancestors for the country's independence, education and arousing the tradition of patriotic love for the young generation.

In order to contribute to preserving the traditional values of the revolution, educating the tradition of loving the country, showing gratitude to those with meritorious services, since 2008, the Party Committee, authorities and people of Nghia Khanh commune have taken 22 August as the traditional day of the commune. The annual "Banyan-tree in Tru Village" festival has the participation of a large number of people from ethnic groups in Nghia Khanh commune and surrounding areas in a jubilant and bustling atmosphere. At this festival, with respect, the Party Committee and people organized many meaningful and practical activities such as meeting, offering flowers, offering incense at the Monument to martyrs of commune, banyan-tree in Tru village. In addition to spiritual and cultural activities, people can also participate in entertainment activities such as camping contests, arts and sports.…
