Van Loc Temple has been recognized by the state as a National Cultural and Historical Relic since 1991.

After his death, the people in the region remembered the merits and built a temple and honored him as the Citadel. Experiencing ups and downs, his temple was moved to the land next to Cam River as it is today. The temple was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the State of Vietnam in 1991. The death day of Nguyen Su Hoi is celebrated by the people of Cua Lo on May 21 (August) every year.
