PHA VILLAGE ORANGE GARDEN AND PHA VILLAGE ORANGE PROCESSING COOPERATIVE – CON CUONG DISTRICT

Orange bears the name of the place name of the district, but through the actual survey, the area is not much, only concentrated in Yen Khe commune and a few in 4 communes in the surrounding area, where the foothills of limestone formations stand. Thanks to the natural process, the soil in these places makes oranges have a unique delicious taste that few places have.. 

In order to maintain and develop this specialty tree, Con Cuong soon developed and implemented the project "Restore the Con Cuong orange tree", according to which, the existing orange area in the district is up to 187 hectares, of which there are 67 hectares of business, with an output of over 800 tons.

Although the output is not much, Con Cuong orange tree has really spread because of the quality of the product and the benefits gained from growing oranges (each hectare of oranges in the business period generates a revenue of 500-800 million VND), which changes the appearance of these areas. Con Cuong orange tree also creates an attraction for people in the planning area so that they can rest assured to invest and develop this tree variety. 

Thanks to the mobilization of the Party cell, at present, Pha village has 22 households participating in orange cultivation on an area of 50 hectares (including 20 hectares under the association model). The orange growers here want the State to pay attention to invest in the power system, ensure the pumping and irrigation, and the safe plant protection drug service for the orange area. 

It is known that Con Cuong district is implementing a project to survey the land suitable for each type of fruit tree, planting planning landmarks. This is a very necessary move to both manage the area and have the right development orientation for this specialty orange tree.
