CA TEMPLE FESTIVAL – YEN THANH

Ca Temple is located in Hoa Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, built by the people in the Later Le dynasty to worship the human god, natural god with the merit named "Ho Quoc Ty Cong", built by the people for many places in the country are: Cao Son - Cao Cac, Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang, Bach Y Cong Chua

Every year, on the full moon day of January, local people and neighboring villages often hold solemn festivals, offering sacrifices to commemorate the tutelary emperors who had merits in national defense and construction. The festival at the temple takes place from February 10^th-12^th, 2017 ie January 14^th-16^th of the lunar calendar every year, but every 3 years it is held at the district level. In the part of Ceremony, there are contents: Decontamination Ceremony: on the morning of February 9^th, 2017 ie January 13^th; Yet Cao Ceremony: From the evening of February 11^th, 2017 ie January 15^th. The procession begins on the morning of February 12^th, 2017 (ie, January 16^th (the procession of palanquin and board of names of martial generals, famous gods of the churches of the families in Hoa Thanh commune to the Ca Temple); The sacrifice ceremony takes place from 10 a.m to 11 a.m on February 12^th, 2017: January 16^th, Thanksgiving ceremony: 11 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on February 12^th (January 16^th).

Parallel to the part of ceremony is the part of contest, including the following contents: Women's volleyball, stick pushing, chess playing, tug of war, boat racing, Tien swing, sack jumping, catching eels in jars, contest of beating sacrificial drums between the families participating in the procession. Through the festival, people and tourists from all over the world have the opportunity to focus on visiting temples, meeting and exchanging, participating in cultural activities towards the origin.
