HOANG MUOI TEMPLE Hoang Muoi Temple (literal name is Mo Hac Linh Tu), built in the position of the mouth of the giant crane formed from the winding by Moc river and Vinh river, located in the territory of Xuan Am village, Hung Thinh commune. Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province.. The relic is located next to the North-South highway, bypassing Vinh city, near Ben Thuy II bridge, not far away is the temple of King Quang Trung and Quyet mountain Park, one of the valuable historical and scenic sites. The temple was built by the People in the post-Le dynasty (1634), through the ups and downs of history, the temple was damaged and degraded. HOANG MUOI TEMPLE

 

Hoang Muoi Temple (literal name is Mo Hac Linh Tu), built in the position of the mouth of the giant crane formed from the winding by Moc river and Vinh river, located in the territory of Xuan Am village, Hung Thinh commune. Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province..

The relic is located next to the North-South highway, bypassing Vinh city, near Ben Thuy II bridge, not far away is the temple of King Quang Trung and Quyet mountain Park, one of the valuable historical and scenic sites.

Hoang Muoi temple is part of the Vietnamese goddess religion belief system and the custom of worshiping local gods. Mr. Hoang Muoi belongs to the 5th row in the system of shrines of the goddess religion, but he is the main god who is worshiped in the main hall of the upper hall. According to folklore, Mr. Hoang Muoi was the son of King Bat Hai Dong Dinh, who was a celestial mandarin on De Dinh, a fairy in Dao Nguyen. Under the orders of heaven, he came to earth to help the people and help the country in governing and defending Nghe An. In the minds of the people of Nghe An, Mr. Hoang Muoi is a man who has a strong will, good at both literature and martial arts, braver than people, knows how to love nature, love literature, love wind and moon. Especially he always protects the peaceful life of all people...Besides, with the trend of anthropomorphization, historicalization and localization, Mr. Hoang Muoi is also associated with real figures in Vietnamese history by the people of Nghe An: Le Khoi, a talented general, grandson and who followed Le Loi to fight in ten years of resistance against the Minh army; Uy Minh Vuong Ly Nhat Quang, 8th son of King Ly Thai To, ruled Nghe An province; Nguyen Xi, the general who opened the country, the mandarin of the four dynasties of King Le and Nguyen Duy Lac - the typical son of Xuan Am village... Although Mr. Hoang Muoi is a legendary character, he has a very close and familiar background and is always revered and respected by the people, being the soul of Mo Hac Linh Tu.

Besides the god Lord Hoang Muoi, the temple also worships Ban Canh Thanh Hoang Song Dong Ngoc Nu. According to the people here, Song Dong Ngoc Nu are two children who were brought down to their village to help the people through the storms of rain, storms and floods, so they have honored Song Dong Ngoc Nu as the Emperor of the city.

General Nguyen Duy Lac is a descendant of the Nguyen family clan in Xuan Am village, he was born in the year of the Wu Horse (1558), in Xuan Am village, Am Cong commune, Hung Nguyen district, Anh Do capital, Nghe An province. He used to hold the position of Military Commander under King Le Chua Trinh with many merits and was conferred to "Phụ quốc Thần võ Tứ vệ quân vụ sự". In addition, he had many merits and contributions to the homeland. He died in the year of the Ji Cat (1639). To pay tribute to the man who has made great contributions to the people and the country, the people here have honored him as a post-god and worshiped at the temple.

In addition, the relic is also decorated to worship the gods of the system of Mother Goddesses and Four Halls such as: Jade Emperor of God, Holy Mother's Trinity, Five mandarins, Four female mandarins, Ngu Vi Quan Hoang, Thap Nhi Vuong Co, Thap Nhi Vuong Cau, Quan Ngu Ho, Ong Lot...

Hoang Muoi Temple has been ranked as a provincial historical relic in Decision No. 4125/QD-UB dated 11/11/2002 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.  Hoang Muoi Temple Festival was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 27, 2019 in Decision No. 2970/QD-BVHTTDL.
