EVENTS TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL DAY OF VIETNAM

National Day of Vietnam is an official holiday of Vietnam, taking place on September 2^nd every year, commemorating the day that President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, one of the predecessors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam today.

In the heart of every Vietnamese in general and the people of Vinh City, when remembering September 2^nd, there are always sacred feelings and national pride. Because when the Declaration of Independence was read by President Ho Chi Minh, it was also the time when our country affirmed the independence and freedom right to the whole world. This is an opportunity for us to remember the sacrifices of our forefathers with the nation's arduous journey.

Every year, on the occasion of September 2^nd, along with the people of the whole country, the people of Vinh City is leaved in this holiday according to the regulations of the State (according to Article 112 of the Labor Code in 2019, Vietnamese people are entitled to leave 2 days: on September 2^nd and 1 day before or after). On this occasion, each people have days off with their family and friends to enjoy the atmosphere of National Day of Vietnam.

On public holidays, depending on the year, Vinh City will choose the place to set off fireworks, usually the place with a large of people, which have political, cultural and social meaning. In addition, the City will coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports and the departments, branches located in the area to meticulously plan cultural and sports events, art and entertainment programs, attracting large number of people.

Vinh city on these days is very crowded and bustling. On the streets, flower flags, banners, slogans overwhelm the sky, food service, entertainment and entertainment activities are all operating at full capacity. People and families gather together, in a warm, joyful and happy manner.
