According to history books, from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Nghe An has 4 sects of Ca trù senior and hundreds of sects of Ca trù minor. Among them, the sect of Ke Lu Ca trù senior, now known as Dien Yen commune, is said to be famous and long-standing, having the most brilliant and golden age in Nghe An province..

The sect of Ke Lu Ceremonial singing (Ca trù) which influenced a large area of the former Dien Chau district (both Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu districts). Patriarch of Ke Lu Ceremonial singing (Ca trù) was Mr. Tran Duc Chinh, alias as Map, was the founder of the famous Tu Chinh Ca trù sect in Thang Long, who was once invited to sing in Lord Trinh's palace.

The process of existence for hundreds of years has made Ca trù seep into every fiber and soul of every citizen of Dien Yen commune, so even though today, there are many types of contemporary music, enjoying the ceremonial singing or Ca trù at the communal house is always their number-one priority. During the great national unity festival, hundreds of Ca trù lovers come to the communal house to listen to the village's artisans perform.

With the enthusiasm of preserving the cultural soul of our ancestors, over the years, the government of Dien Yen  commune as well as the elderly artisans have restored traditional festivals and created a performance space, so Ke Lu ward is still developing strongly. The whole club has up to 3 players playing the three-stringed instrument and 10 girl-singers. In order to continue to promote the art of Ca trù, the locality continues to put this art program into mass art exchanges in Dien Yen commune for the young generation to absorb, Every year, 5-6 Ca trù singing performances are held to serve the people, creating space for the club to practice and perform.

Ca trù has become the pride and indispensable spiritual food in the cultural life of the people on the cradle of Ke Lu Ceremonial singing (Ca trù) in particular and people in Dien Chau commune in general./.
