NGHE AN MUSEUM TOURIST SITE
Nghe An Museum was born in 1979 with the name of Nghe Tinh Museum, located under the casuarina groves in the area of the ancient Vinh citadel. Here, documents and objects are displayed, and many mobile exhibitions are held to propagate the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, contributing to the protection and promotion of the national cultural heritage values.
Nghe An General Museum researches, collects, inventory, preserves, mobile displays, guides the construction of grassroots traditional houses, while doing inventory, making scientific records for ranking relics, renovating historical and cultural relics, researching and developing scenarios for receiving diplomas, organizing and restoring traditional festivals, making a great contribution to the protection and preservation of cultural identities of all Nghe countryside.
Until today, Nghe An Museum is a place to store a large number of documents and artifacts of typical historical and cultural value with 31,327 units of artifacts, dozens of collections of rare and precious artifacts and 03 national treasures recognized by the State in 2017. In terms of facilities, the museum has a total area of 13,300m2, in which the 2-storey warehouse for preserving artifacts has an area of 720m2. The exhibition house has a scale of 3 floors with a total area of 3000m2. In 2005, the Provincial People's Committee approved the exhibition outline of Nghe An museum. It includes 5 main themes:
Theme 1: Nghe An with nature and people.
Theme 2: Nghe An with prehistoric times to the beginning of nation building
Theme 3: Nghe An in the early history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country (from the 1st century to 1945)
Theme 4: Nghe An in the struggle to protect national independence and reunification (1945 - 1975)
Topic 5: Nghe An from 1976 to present in the cause of innovation.
