CAU NGU FESTIVAL IN TIEN THUY COMMUNE Cau Ngu Festival is a traditional folk festival associated with the custom of worshiping Ca Ong of seafaring fishermen, held annually by Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district at the beginning of the new year. The festival is held in 02 days: January 13 and 14, including 02 main parts of the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony is carefully prepared and dignified, including offering ceremony to the Buddha, report ceremony, procession ceremony, prostrating, and the thanksgiving ceremony. At 7:00 am, the procession of the gods with Bat Cong palanquin, canopy, flags and fan, both sides are 2 wooden war horses and female team singing folk songs, team of eight different timbres with full lute, flute, erhu, drum, muo and dance team carried out the procession of the god from the Main Temple to Lach Quen harbor. Cau Ngu Festival is a traditional folk festival associated with the custom of worshiping Ca Ong of seafaring fishermen, held annually by Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district at the beginning of the new year.

The festival is held in 02 days: January 13 and 14, including 02 main parts of the ceremony and the festival. The ceremony is carefully prepared and dignified, including offering ceremony to the Buddha, report ceremony, procession ceremony, prostrating, and the thanksgiving ceremony.

The festival is an opportunity for Tien Thuy people who live and do business across all parts of the country to have the opportunity to return to gather, who seek to return to their roots to respectfully light a candle of gratitude to the gods and ancestors who have contributed to the people and country, demonstrating the good moral tradition of "drink water remember the source" of the people in Tien Thuy region in particular and marine fishermen throughout the S-shaped strip of land in general. The festival also contributes to educating the young generation, arousing the determination to unite to protect the sea and islands, the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
